Community Housing Solutions Center

Homeless Shelter for Men and Women, 75-beds

A Safe Place to Land and a Real Path Forward

If you're without a stable place to live right now, please know this: you are not out of options, and you are not alone. The Community Housing Solutions Center (CHSC) is a place where things can start to turn around. Here, you'll find a clean, safe bed, warm meals, and people who genuinely want to help you build the life you're working toward.

Homelessness is a chapter, not the whole story. For hundreds of men and women in our community, CHSC has been the place where that chapter ended and a new one began. Often moving into their own apartment and a paycheck of their own.

You are welcome here. And we're ready when you are.

Who We Welcome

  • Phone: (813) 621-8781 Walk-in screenings: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Don't have your paperwork or ID? That's okay. Just call us, and we'll help you figure out what you need. We also have a separate program called PATH that may be able to assist with case management.

What Is the Community Housing Solutions Center?

CHSC is an emergency bridge housing program helping up to 75 adult men and women in the Tampa area. "Bridge housing" simply means a safe, stable place to live for a short time up to 4 months (120 days) while you get back on your feet.

But CHSC is more than a roof over your head. From the day you arrive, you'll have a dedicated team working alongside you with one clear goal: helping you move into a permanent home of your own and find steady work to support it. Everything we do is designed around that goal, so your time here is never just waiting, it’s a beginning of a journey.

A Bridge to Your Next Chapter

Think of CHSC as a bridge between where you are today and the stable, independent life you're working toward. You don't have to figure it all out alone, and you don't have to have everything together before you walk through our doors.

We meet you exactly where you are. Whether you've recently lost housing, you're coming out of a difficult season, or you've been on the streets for a while, our team helps you take the next right step and then the one after that until you're standing on solid ground.
